A therapeutic relationship is a uniquely personal one, and not every therapist is a great fit for every client! I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation so that you can make a more informed decision about whether my counseling style and areas of expertise are a good fit for you and your goals.

As a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate, I have been trained to diagnose and treat mental illness (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma). Counselors are subject to regulation by the Washington Department of Health, held to ethical standards, and required by law to maintain certain documentation. Counseling services are sometimes reimbursed by insurers.
Consulting services geared toward your professional life, however, are directed at improving your performance rather than providing assistance with your mental health. Consulting services are not reimbursed by insurance, but may be reimbursed by your employer and may also be tax-deductible. I take a holistic approach to career-related consulting, and we may identify one or more aspects of your mental health as getting in the way of your career advancement, but my consulting services will not treat such mental health concerns. If we identify mental health concerns that require clinical intervention, I can provide you with a referral to a licensed therapist who can provide the appropriate treatment.
If you are unsure about whether you want therapy or consulting services, we can discuss this during your consultation.

I am not in-network with any insurer. I can provide a superbill that allows you to seek reimbursement for out-of-network services from your insurers. Other than providing the superbill, I am not involved in seeking reimbursement for you, and I cannot guarantee that your insurer will provide any reimbursement.

Both. My practice is focused on in-person clients, as I believe that is the more effective way to engage in this work. My office in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. I also understand that time and location constraints impact whether it is possible for some clients to work in person, and for that reason, I offer telehealth services in appropriate cases.

I offer cancellation without charge up to 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. The full session fee will be charged for missed appointments and cancellations with less than 48-hour notice.
Once we have decided on an appropriate cadence and time for our work together, it is my expectation that you will attend our meetings. In the event that regular cancellations are impacting my ability to fill my schedule, we will address in session whether there is an alternative way for us to schedule that will allow you to attend scheduled sessions regularly.
